National Good Neighbor Day | September 28
Celebrate with your neighbors and your neighborhood.
Celebrate National Good Neighbor Day on September 28th
A hopeful neighborhood is one where neighbors value and celebrate the unique people and places in their neighborhood. Because of that, The Hopeful Neighborhood Project is the managing sponsor of National Good Neighbor Day and we encourage anyone who wants to create a more hopeful neighborhood to celebrate.
National Good Neighbor Day gives you an opportunity to get to know new neighbors or deepen your relationship with neighbors you’ve greeted but don’t know very well. You can celebrate by connecting individually with neighbors, hosting a long table in your front yard, organizing a micro block party (no bouncy houses needed), attending a local event, or organizing a neighborhood food drive. The options are endless and can be tailored to your unique gifts and neighborhood.
For a Getting Started Guide and many other resources go to www.nationalgoodneighborday.org.
Be sure to let us know how you celebrate by completing the Action Report available starting September 28th. You can also tag @goodneighborday on all of your social media posts and add the hashtags #goodneighborday and #ilovemyneighborhood.
We can’t wait to celebrate National Good Neighbor Day with YOU!

A neighborhood without neighbors is just a collection of houses.
We help you turn individual houses into hopeful homes.
