Good point Chris. I feel like spring makes a huge difference. When I lived in MN, you saw no one for months, which means you really have to take advantage of the few months when people are out and working in their yards or doing outside activities.

My kids help a ton! They are always willing to start a conversation with neighbors, especially if dogs are involved :)
